In contrast, he said, the Indian Armed Forces focused strictly on military infrastructure, including strikes reaching as far as Rawalpindi, the location of the Pakistani military headquarters.

BrahMos Facility: Boosting Defence and Development

Coinciding with National Technology Day, the inauguration of the 200-acre BrahMos complex was presented as a major step towards Aatmanirbharta and industrial growth. Shri Singh called the BrahMos missile a symbol of strength and deterrence, and said it embodies joint India-Russia technological excellence.

The facility is expected to create over 1,500 jobs, directly and indirectly, while fostering an ecosystem of skilled defense manufacturing. With ₹300 crore in investment, it supports the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor and aligns with the central government’s vision of “Make in India, Make for the World.”

State & National Collaboration on Defence Innovation

UP Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, speaking at the site, hailed the project as a boost for the regional economy and defence sector. He noted progress across all six UPDIC nodes, with 180 MoUs signed and over ₹4,000 crore already invested in UAVs, ammunition, drones, textiles, and more.

He credited the successful delivery of the BrahMos centre in 40 months to cooperation between the state government, DRDO scientists, and private industry. Highlighting reduced migration and rising employment opportunities, he said this center will become a skill development hub for engineers, technicians, and entrepreneurs.
